Responsibilities:

Duties include academic services in the project named above. Research associates may also pursue independent research and further academic qualifications.

Specific Duties


Are you enthusiastic about visualizing data? Are you enthusiastic about computer graphics and data science? Would you like to contribute to advancing computer methods and open-source research software for improving weather and climate research? In the Visual Data Analysis group, we are investigating novel data visualization methods to improve data analysis and communication in the atmospheric and climate sciences.

You will work at the exciting intersection of computer science and meteorology in an interdisciplinary environment. You will closely collaborate with W2W project partners to facilitate future meteorological research.

At Universität Hamburg, you will be integrated into the Visual Data Analysis Group and closely collaborate with other group members.


Requirements:

A university degree in a relevant field.

In addition, you should have strong oral and written communication skills in English, and strong organizational skills.


This position is perfect for someone who, in addition to pursuing research, is interested in contributing to open-source research software.

It will be necessary for this position that you feel comfortable closely collaborating with project partners and with other group members.
