The Stuttgart Technology Center (STC) was founded in 1989.

As part of the Sony Semiconductor Solutions Europe Group the Stuttgart Laboratory 1 (SL1) and the Stuttgart Laboratory 2 (SL2), are home to two research and development groups.

Furthermore, the Automotive Semiconductor Sales & Marketing (ASSM group), the Technology Partnerships Europe (TPE) and Intellectual Property Europe (IPE) departments are part of STC.


The Stuttgart Laboratory 2 is instrumental in the development of new materials and technologies in the fields of hybrid electronics, imaging and sensing, sensorial user interaction, as well as involved in solving questions related to quality, failure analysis, environmental compatibility and standardization for current and future Sony products.

To strengthen our team in SL2 we are currently looking for an:

Internship student (M/F/d)

This is a full-time at the Sony Technology Center in Stuttgart, Germany. You will be part of a project team on the development of sustainable solutions for the bio-based circular economy.


Your tasks:

  • Maintain and monitor laboratory cultures (cell count, microscopy)
  • Make media stocks and solutions
  • Perform standard methods as well as customized microbiological testing methods (manual techniques and automated equipment)
  • Accurately document experimental protocols, perform analysis, collect measurement data, graph and protocol generation, and reporting of results.

Requirements:


  • Student of Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology
  • Handson experience in laboratory work is highly preferred
  • Good knowledge of material processing and analytical methods, with basic knowledge of data handling (e.g. Excel, Origin),
  • Proactive and teamoriented personality with an independent working style
  • Good communication skills,
  • Good level of English and ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary team
