The Retail Division at MICHAEL KORS is a continuously growing network of more than 30 Outlets, 80 Lifestyle stores, 100 Concessions/Shop in Shops in 21 European Countries.

We have an exciting opportunity for a District Visual Merchandiser based in Metzingen (Stuttgard) or Wustermark (Berlin)


Job overview:


District Visual Merchandisers operate as Brand Protectors, balancing creative vision with commerciality; ensuring the highest customer experience is always delivered within all stores.


The DVM Team operate as a support function for Retail primarily focused on driving visual consistency across all customer touchpoints and channels within a Territory.


What You'll Do:

Training & Development:

  • Host seasonal District Managers and Store managers training sessions in SMM using VM training material provided.
  • Carry out regular certified VM training in the district (e.g. service leader training).
  • Carry out structured, trainingbased store visits, providing feedback and support.
  • Support monthly Floorset installations in the district stores and provide launch feedback.

Commercial Focus:

  • Support quarterly District Managers' business strategy by creating appropriate Visual Strategy and overseeing its implementation.
  • Support Store managers with commercial Floorset updates using relevant trade information (money mapping, Dashboard).
  • Conduct regular joint visits with the District Managers in order to identify key VM / Product opportunities in store.
  • Attend weekly district conference calls to brief on key weekly VM focus areas and objectives.

Creative Innovation:

  • Interpret company VM Directives in for relevant market implementation.
  • Support wider retail business through market specific projects, such as delivery of Model Stores; trials in selected stores; showroom set ups etc.
  • Manage additional project work aimed at developing creative display concepts to be used at EU and Global level.
  • Incorporate monthly creative Compshop ideas into Model store launches.

Teamwork & Communication:

  • Submit great quality District Floorset photopacks to Regional Visual Manager on monthly basis or upon request.
  • Submit weekly recap reports and feedback to Regional Visual Manager.
  • Submit creative monthly Comp Shop ideas to Regional Visual Manager.
  • Participate in regular team conference calls, held both, by Regional Visual Manager or Senior Visual Manager, including wider EU VM team.
  • Participate in special individual/ team projects set by Senior EU VM Managers.
  • Prepare for and participate in semiannual VM summit, held by Senior EU VM Managers.

You'll Need to Have:

  • Experience working for trendled, premium, fashionfocused businesses.
  • Direct visual merchandising experience.
  • Awareness of industry trends and market specific customer profiles.
  • Demonstrable creative, commercial and people focused skill sets / competencies.
  • Passion, Creativity, and drive to deliver visual excellence in our stores.
  • Competence with Office Suite programmes essential, knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe suite programs preferable.
