As a 100% subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, we develop and integrate the next generation of Mercedes-Benz in-car infotainment systems that are based on the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MBOS).

In addition, we are responsible for the Mercedes me companion app, we provide seamless & connected mobility experiences and we contribute to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) platform development.

With offices in Berlin and Sofia, we are aiming to bring new generation of innovative infotainment systems across the globe.

Your Mission

As a working student for voice assistant data annotation, you will be part of a cross-functional support team that provides internal customer-facing development teams with empirical insights about the interactions between the MBUX Voice Assistant in Mercedes-Benz cars and its users.

You will be embedded in a team with backgrounds mainly in the areas of Data Analytics, Data Engineering and Test Automation and will interact with people in other teams working on Voice Interaction Design and Product Management.

Your main focus areas will be the annotation of natural language corpora as well as the co-creation and co-refinement of annotation schemas.

Occasionally, we might also need your assistance in interactively testing the actual system or assisting with user research.

By working on these topics, you gain practical experiences in topics you're learning in your studies and have real impact on the user experience in Mercedes-Benz cars.

Qualifikationen
Your Profile

Experience

Studies in Linguistics
Corpus Linguistics or Computational Linguistics is a plus , Translation, Human Machine Interaction, or a comparable qualification
Native or nearnative language proficiency in German and English

Nice to have

Experience with conversational systems / voice technology
Experience in annotating natural language corpora
Experience in user research
Experience with version control (preferably git)
Native or nearnative knowledge in other languages than English or German

Personal skills

Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
Personal initiative, commitment, perseverance and resilience
Welldeveloped communication and teamwork skills
