Unser Profil:

As humans we have the basic need to connect with each other, to share our ideas and feelings. Language is the central instrument to meet this need. Yet successful social interactions require that the human brain masters not only the production and comprehension of speech.

Additional demands are placed on our cognitive system that engage processes enabling social cognition, interpersonal coordination, and multimodal sensory integration.

How do our brains accomplish this task? And how can technological advancements promote social interactions between humans, and between humans and machines? These questions we would like to address together with you at the newly founded research group at RWTH Aachen University.

The Institute of Psychology has a friendly and supportive working environment and offers exciting opportunities for inter
- and intra-departmental collaborations, including the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen and the nearby Forschungszentrum Jülich. Aachen is a city with a high quality of life located in the heart of Europe and immediately bordering The Netherlands and Belgium.
