Our Mission:

We are seeking a Data Operations Working Student to join our team and help us bring our startup to the next level

This role would entail supporting the creation and maintenance of data pipelines for the data warehouse, enabling efficient data extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT), while also assisting in data analysis and visualisation to drive informed decision-making.

We have a modern office in Cologne, though we primarily work remotely and encourage all our team to work where it suits them.

At least once a month we have workshops or events where we meet as a team in Cologne. So even if we don't have to commute every day, it is important that you can do so regularly.

Your everyday activities:

To support the creation and maintenance of data pipelines for the data warehouse, enabling efficient data extraction, loading, and transformation (ELT), while also assisting in data analysis and visualization to drive informed decision-making

You will

Collaborate with our Head of Engineering Martin and Data Scientist Richard to plan and execute the design and deployment of robust data pipelines.
Uphold the integrity and accuracy of data through consistent quality checks, promptly addressing any arising issues.
Leverage SQL queries and scripts proficiently to efficiently extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
Contribute to the enhancement and upkeep of Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and reports, facilitating insightful decisionmaking.
Take ownership of your processes within the product team, continuously striving to optimize and refine them.

Actively participate in weekly meetings with the entire team, fostering alignment on current progress and future directions.

You will need:

Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program relevant to the position.
Excellent English and German language skills both written and spoken. Any other language is a plus.
Expertise in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries
Proficient understanding of set theory and statistical analysis of time series data.
Proven intercultural competence including strength in communication skills across multiple disciplines, cultures, and with different media.
A high level of selfmotivation, initiative, and drive.
