YOUR TASKS

  • Work on the DFG project "Identification of the mechanical behavior and coupling with improved internal structure analysis of frozen particlefluid systems (PFS)".
  • Construction of a miniaturized uniaxial compression tester with cooling function
  • Micro-CT and insitu microCT analyses of different PFS agglomerates under uniaxial compressive loading
  • Discrete element modelling (DEM) of the mechanical behavior of the PFS agglomerates and optimization of the models using microCT data and KNN (artificial neural network)

YOUR PROFILE

  • Completed scientific university studies (M.Sc. or Dipl.), especially in process engineering, mechanical engineering (with focus on process engineering) or mechatronics
  • Very good knowledge of particle technology and material science, especially in the field of DEM simulation, is necessary
  • Very good knowledge of the German and English language
  • Good experience with KNN and microCT (incl. Aviso software) is an advantage
  • Independent working style, handson mentality and capability in working on mechatronic projects
