Cyber Security Expert (M/F/d)**:

Location
Munich, Germany

Our department ("CU Cyber") bundles cyber insurance expertise in order to efficiently support the business units in writing profitable cyber insurance and developing new fields of cyber business.

It holds the risk management function for this respective line of business. Responsibilities include assessing accumulation potentials, maintaining portfolio transparency, developing underwriting standards, and driving projects on cyber innovation and investments.

The understanding and quantification of cyber exposures is essential for our business and our team provide up-to-date methods and frameworks which enables the operational units to underwrite cyber risks in an effective and efficient way.

Your focus would be to further improve and enhance these tools, especially our
Cyber
Underwriting
Tool (CUT) allowing for better cyber risk assessment, pricing and risk selection.

CUT is constantly developed further to represent state of the art cyber risk assessment including internal and external data sources and knowhow to stay current in this dynamic environment.

To strengthen the team, we are looking for a colleague to further promote cyber underwriting excellence and cyber security know-how within the Group.

Your job

Defining, maintaining and enhancing the risk assessment framework and parameters in CUT and keeping it always up to date
Ascertaining the value of external data sources and vet partners, threat and risk quality data vendors and support integrating these external data sources into CUT
Being responsible for all CUT driven innovation projects from the technical side
Supporting important other tasks of the unit like accumulation modeling with technical cyber security expertise
Delivering your view on risk assessment methods with brokers, clients and on conferences
Maintaining expertise in market and trend developments such as cyber threats and information security, and constantly utilizing the expertise in internal project and expert groups

Profile:

Degree in Information Technology, Information Security or related field. Securityrelevant certification like CISSP, CISA, CISM are an asset
Significant professional experience in handson cyber security fields such as cyber risk manager, security consultant, security architecture, SOC/CSIRT, incident management, or audit/assessment
Indepth knowledge of IT security systems, standards, and procedures (e.g. ISO 27000, NIST)
Experience or knowhow about Cyber Insurance would be an asset
Pragmatic thinking and fun in and willingness to work innovative and estimate risk (parameters) with imperfect knowledge
Being creative and enjoy working with innovative questions in a very dynamic and challenging environment, flexibility to deal with changing side conditions
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex issues to internal and external stakeholders in the insurance industry with a nontechnical background
Fluent business English and good knowledge of German. Other languages would be an asset
