Margarida Paulo

Hello, I am Margarida Paulo, and I am a graduated Fashion Designer from the Lisbon School of Architecture, in Portugal. I am currently doing an internship in NAKT, a fashion brand in berlin, and looking for a new challenge to help me evolve and improve my skills in all the fields of fashion. I have a special passion for all things digital, thus, naturally, I am passionate about all things related to digital fashion design, including digital pattern making, developing spec sheets and creating 3D models of clothes.

I have good knowledge in pattern making, either by hand or digitally (experience with Seamly2D), and in garment construction. I am also in the learning process of digital 3D fashion design (experience with CLO3D), in which I already have some basic skills. I am a practical and organised person, and I am used to adapting to different environments and people.

I am ready to take on a new challenge to help me learn and share my knowledge and passion for fashion design!

NAKT Berlin (15/Jul/2022 - Present):

Participating in the design of the garments for the collections to be launched by the company.
Sewing the garments to be sent as a sample to the atelier where they are produced.
Making and grading of patterns.
Checking the old patterns and fixing them, including correcting sizing mistakes, adapting to new finishes and doing changes according to the feedback of clients, aiming to reduce return rates.

Developing technical drawings and including them in spec sheets, with all the information needed for future production.
Gathering the necessary information to be included in the spec sheets of the garment, including quantity of fabric (and, in most cases, of other materials) and all the measurements of the piece.

Fashion Design Bachelor's Degree - School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (2019 - 2022):

In the fashion design bachelor's degree, I learned foundational skills to most fields of fashion, including garment construction, pattern making, creative thinking processes, marketing, drawing and digital skills (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign).
