    Your attention, please. Our colleagues from the Marketing & Communications Team request attention. They handle Media Relations, Events, Digital Marketing, and Digital Communications, influencing BCG's image with clients, employees, alumni, applicants, the media, and the public. Demonstrating to the world that the Group is a global thought leader, they ensure that BCG's knowledge and studies are in the right channels at the right time and continuously develop our communication and marketing strategy.

    YOUR TASKS

    As a highly motivated Communications Specialist for Media Relations, you work on a maternity cover (two years) in the external communication department at BCG, bridging the gap between customer-oriented business and the public. You excel in turning complex content into understandable and engaging media stories. Additionally, through our strong connections with editorial teams and your own media contacts, you foster dialogue between media representatives and BCG experts.

    You are responsible for planning and executing press activities in the German market, developing concepts and media presentations relevant to all markets in the Central Europe (CE) region. You launch company-relevant topics and studies in business and trade media, especially in Climate & Sustainability, Industrial Goods, Energy, and Public Sector. You act as the point of contact for journalists handling press inquiries and for BCG's Senior Management regarding media interactions. Your responsibilities include conceptualizing and organizing press events, preparing and conducting interviews with BCG Senior Management, as well as expanding and maintaining contacts with journalists and editorial teams. In addition to monitoring and analyzing press coverage, you identify company-relevant topics, trends, rankings, and surveys.

    You are part of our CE Media Relations Team and collaborate closely with other Marketing & Communications colleagues across all CE markets.     YOUR PROFILE

    YOUR QUALITIES

    • You have the ability to transform complex content into concise stories for the media, showcasing your excellent writing style and persuasiveness in personal interactions.
    • Your quick comprehension and willingness to delve into new topics set you apart from others.
    • You demonstrate initiative, high quality standards, motivation, and flexibility.
    • Your competent and professional demeanor helps you win over internal and external stakeholders.
    • You work independently, are flexible, resilient, and reliable.

    YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • You have successfully completed university studies, preferably in Economics, Social Sciences, or Communications, and possess relevant journalistic experience.
    • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in an editorial department, agency, or press office of a company or other organizations – preferably in the B2B sector.
    • Your German and English language skills are excellent in both written and verbal communication.
