High-Speed Data Transmission Method for Autonomous Driving:

We are strengthening our High-Speed Design team at our location in Friedrichshafen for an internship starting with the beginning of winter semester 23/ 24.


Your tasks as Intern High-Speed Data Transmission Method (M/F/d):

  • Support of hardware core development in the "ProAI" and "ProConnect" project (ZF central computer and radio module for autonomous driving)
  • Measurement of circuit board prototypes to characterize the EMC behavior of ground concepts and highspeed signals
  • Development of highspeed data transmission systems for autonomous vehicles regarding signal integrity and electromagnetic compatibility
  • Simulation and development of electronic circuits, schematic design, layout of circuit boards
  • Evaluation, analysis, and documentation of results

Your tasks as Intern High-Speed Data Transmission Method (M/F/d):

  • Studying towards a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or information technology
  • Basic knowledge of communications engineering (line theory, signal theory, EMC), bus systems and complex measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer)
  • First experience with HF simulation tools (Mentor Graphics HyperLynx, Keysight ADS, Ansys HFSS) as well as knowledge in SerDes, automotive Ethernet and video interfaces are desirable
  • You bring along a high degree of initiative and like to work independently on complex tasks
  • Very good English language skills, German is a plus
