Role Overview


We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in Bremen, Germany as a part time (50%)
HR Administrator to work in a truly global environment to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing of HR transactions and data, reporting to the Regional HRBP.

Our Volcafe Way farmer support programme engages with thousands of coffee farmers and provides a holistic response to the challenges they face.

This role will be working for
Gollücke and Rothfos, Volcafe's company in Germany.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the HRBP with projects and documentation for the German business.
  • Create and manage the onboarding process for new joiners with input and guidance from the HRBP.
  • First point of contact for local employee's HR queries.
  • Payroll processing (communication with loan office, pension and social security deductions, booking of salaries).
  • Liaise with the finance department for intercompany recharge.
  • Create employment contracts for new joiners and promotions.
  • Accurately maintain the HR system in regard to joiners and leavers.
  • Issue certificates of employment.
  • Manage the company E-Bike program.
  • Manage time tracking and absence reporting tools.
  • Subscribe to local annual insurances.
  • Annual report integration.
  • Comply with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Supervise apprentices.
  • Assist with local HR Audits.
  • Adhoc finance administration: Charge out calculations and issuing invoices of employees to other entities, process employee expenses and flatrate taxation, Künstlersozialkasse.
Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication skills both in German and English.
  • German employment law experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Discrete, able to maintain high levels of confidentiality both internally and externally.
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with the team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
