In order to support the Central Research & Technology department, Airbus is looking for

Master Thesis within RF Link Model Study on Satellite Communications for Aerial Vehicles (d/f/m):

Your tasks and responsibilities:

Working on a communications and flight simulator to improve its RF link and channel models
Analyze link budget simulations from different GEO and LEO satellite networks against reallife traces
Analyze mismatch between simulation and reallife traces with statistical distributions and finetune simulation parameters to improve accuracy
Include the effects of multipath and shadowing on the link budget using terrain models in urban environments

Desired skills and qualifications:

Enrolled full time student (d/f/m) in a master degree program within computer science/electrical engineering/communications or similar
Programming experience in Python and Matlab
Theoretical knowledge on RF channel modeling
Good understanding of statistics and math
Fluent in English or German
