The group "Data Analytics and Signal Processing"(DSP) in the department of Photonic Networks and Systems is looking for a motivated student assistant to contribute to the development of the optical network planning tools for various networking features.

What you will do

  • Collaborate on programming and testing different optical networking features
  • Data analysis and visualization for further examination
  • Collaborate on project documentation, presentations, and demos

What you bring to the table

  • Enrolled Bachelor/Master student (M/F) in the field of computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields
  • Excellent programming skills, specifically in Python
  • Experience with Git, and Linux
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)

The following knowledge is an advantage:

  • Theoretical background in optical networks is a plus
  • Familiar with the software development is a plus
  • Team player with a structured way of working and able to work with little guidance
