The
Warehouse Specialist, as directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

_ JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES_
Work involves, but is not limited to, the following:

Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents.
Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
Storing stacking, or pelletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

_ OTHER or ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES_

May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned

_ KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS_

Knowledge of overall warehouse procedures.
Must be able to obtain forklift/SRT license if required.
Ability to perform task independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to perform work in a safe manner to prevent loss or damage of equipment.
Customeroriented with ability to courteously and effectively work through difficult situations.

_ EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION_

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Specialized training courses in Warehouse operations is desirable.
Minimum of oneyear actual experience as related to Warehouse operations.

_ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT_

Must be able to Read, Write and Communicate effectively in English.
Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.
Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.
Will be required to handle dirty parts and lubricants.
Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
May be required to pass a Respirator Physical and Fit Test qualification.
May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.
May work in warehouse or outside.
Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy and dirty.
May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.

_ TRAVEL_

May be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions.
