  • Building an early-stage tech start-up, disrupting one of the most exciting industries to tackle climate change: the real estate industry. Buildings are responsible for 40% of global CO2e emissions. CHAGOS is the B2B platform for sustainable real estate development. We offer holistic, end-to-end solutions for real estate developers including building materials and services throughout the entire life cycle of a building.
  • Playing a key role in shaping the future of an innovative and lovable product for sustainable real estate. As the technical lead/CTO, you will be responsible for the entire product development, ranging from infrastructure, deployment to backend and frontend development.
Tasks

  • Handson development of the product
  • Work closely with product, design & business to define & scope technical requirements and shape the product roadmap
  • Establish & implement best practices (code, architecture, documentation, review & testing)
  • Build and manage a team of developers over time

Requirements:

  • High sense of responsibility, excellent problemsolving skills, critical as well as innovative thinking, and proactive selfmotivation. I.e. understand the product goals and requirements, problem solve, make suggestions, contribute ideas, raise problems.
  • 35 years of handson experience as a full stack webapp developer in a fastpaced, agile environment, ideally in a startup.
  • Initial experience leading other developers is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of the following:
  • Frontend, ReactJS, NextJS, TypeScript, UI & CSS Libraries (TailwindCSS, Shadcn), Zustand or Redux
  • Backend, incl. , TypeScript, TRPC (or similar), Prisma (or similar ORM), integration of external interfaces (APIs) for data retrieval, processing, and transmission and integration of payment providers
  • Source Code Management (Github, or similar)
  • Infrastructure, Hosting in a cloud environment
  • Databases, MySQL (or similar) and database modeling
  • Experience with tracking and logging as well as A/B testing is a plus.
  • Experience with data modelling and machine learning is a plus
  • Fluency in English or/and German. Basic German is a big plus.
  • You ideally live in Berlin or can be in Berlin on a regular basis (regular colocation also when working remotely).
  • You are available fulltime.
