Our Profile:

Our research questions focus on behavioral and development economics. In particular, we are working on questions related to financial inclusion in Africa and South-East Asia. For a new research project in an international team, we are looking for your support.

The project is an international collaboration of researchers from Kenya (University of Nairobi), the UK (University of Essex), France (Aix-Marseille University), and Germany (RWTH Aachen) and consists of the development and evaluation of a digital financial literacy programme for rural women in Kenya.

This will be implemented together with a local NGO. To collect data, we will partner with the leading research organization Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA).

Your Profile:

Strong interest in development economics.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili would be an asset; German is not a requirement.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fastpaced environment.
Previous work experience in related tasks will be an asset.
Enrolled in a higher education institution and right to work in Germany.
Good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

Your task will be to support the international research team consisting of Laura Barasa, Elif Kubilay, Eva Raiber, and Lisa Spantig.

This will entail, but is not limited to the following:

Schedule and participate in internal meetings and meetings with our partners and write short memos. All our meetings are conducted remotely.
Help oversee project implementation by frequent backchecks with IPA.

The work schedule is flexible.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 12,00 € per hour.
