As the Product Owner (f/m/d) for Infrastructure Management in the Infrastructure & Operations department, reporting to the Head of Product Management, and based in Heidelberg, your mission is to create and maintain a strong foundation for data-driven Infrastructure Management.


By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the development of an extraordinary product suite that customers love, ensuring seamless integration of CMDB, effective observability, and streamlined automation processes.


Your next challenge:


  • Leading the delivery of a Logging/SIEM solution to enhance the organization's security and threat detection capabilities
  • Collaborating with the core team to develop an automation strategy for our key strategic cloud journey, streamlining processes and improving operational efficiency
  • Providing support in identifying and coordinating automations for the current workload in the operation teams, optimizing productivity and reducing manual effort
  • Defining a monitoring and observability strategy for the upcoming years, evaluating and consolidating existing solutions to ensure comprehensive visibility into the infrastructure
  • Implementing a fully automated CMDB system, enabling efficient management and tracking of configuration items and their relationships
  • Empowering infrastructure experts by establishing datadriven decisionmaking practices, leveraging relevant data and analytics to drive informed actions and improvements

Your profile:

Professional Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a large international enterprise
  • Experience in working with CMDB, observability, and automation tools and technologies
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in collaborating with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to drive product development and improvement

Must-Have Hard Skills:

  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) concepts and best practices
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing observability solutions, such as logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Strong expertise in automation frameworks and tools, including scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet), and infrastructureascode (IaC) practices
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their associated automation and observability services
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, networking, and security principles

Additional Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and vendors
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to identify and address infrastructure management challenges
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to CMDB, observability, and automation
  • Project/product management skills to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies as required by the role
