Job Description:
Teledyne Princeton Instruments, a business unit of Teledyne Digital Imaging US, Inc, designs and manufactures high-performance CCD, sCMOS, ICCD, EMCCD, emICCD, and InGaAs cameras; spectrographs; and optics-based solutions for the scientific research, industrial imaging, and OEM communities.
The role of Field Application Specialist is to be the principal connection between Teledyne Photometrics/Teledyne Princeton Instruments and the Scientific community that use our products to advance their research.
The position is intended for those looking to work with world leading scientists across Europe as part of a highly technical and dedicated team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with sales representatives to perform hands-on demonstrations in the DACH region and across Europe- Develop in-depth knowledge of Teledyne products to obtain complete fluency in our technologies and solutions.- Understand the latest imaging techniques being developed by our customers and help position Teledyne's products to best meet these requirements- To identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services based on analysis of Application trends- Take ownership of advanced support problems traveling to customers if deemed necessary- Work with Europe team to develop sales strategies for customer conversion and retention- Attend trade shows, seminars and training events representing and promoting Teledyne Photometrics and Teledyne Princeton Instruments Create training material for sales team and dealer network- Provide customer training- Document activities and customer communications in CRM database.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Biology/Physics
- Experienced in Microscopy and/or spectroscopy
- History of using advanced imaging techniques
- Competent with Windows and Microsoft products
- Proficiency to follow up and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work outside traditional working hours
