Your department:

The Market Operation and Risk unit (MR) is the hub of all operations supporting our Trading and Origination activities, and Asset Management for Europe & US.

The department is responsible for all processes and operations in the Back Office Europe & US, Risk Management, New Products & Investment Support, and the Digitalization Office.

The responsibility of the unit is to ensure accurate and high-quality results in all operational activities to support Statkraft's growth ambitions.

The new Strategy and Business Support unit (MRX) will be responsible for activities cutting across MR, e.g strategy processes, performance management, improvement projects and initiatives, and own the overall process framework.

The unit will also support process owners as needed across MR. The department will work closely with the SVP to improve how MR works in total.

Job Description:

Drive, manage and support strategy projects on variety of topics e.g. such as developing a cost model, performance management and supporting performance culture, Strategy Review and planning
Proactively drive and manage improvement initiatives on behalf of MR around governance structures, process optimisation and organisational development and deliver handson business support
Manage and further develop the Operations & risk change agenda towards a bestin class platform
Foster and ensure continuous information exchange amongst different teams within Operations & Risk on business relevant topics
Keep the interface towards various internal stakeholders such as strategy teams, relevant business area and corporate functions, relevant project teams etc. Use considerable judgment to determine solution and seeks guidance on complex problems
You can take advantage of opportunities to master new skills, work across different disciplines, move into new challenges and develop a robust understanding of different industries

Qualifications:

University degree in engineering, sustainability, business or similar
3+ years of professional work experience with relevant industry knowledge
Consultancy background would be an advantage
Knowledge and firsthand experience from a support function for Trading & Origination, IT or Risk Management, Finance are welcome
Handson mentality, proven project management and process improvement skills
Strong background in problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills
Strong networking & stakeholder management skills
Selfdriven with high level of initiative and motivation
Excellent communication skills; fluent English proficiency is required, additional languages are welcome
