MISSION
- Lead innovation projects/teams, drive all the technical aspects including the associated tools (moulds, checking fixtures, validation equipment, etc.) to test and validate the Innovation
- Ensures cross functional management of the extended team
- Ensures capitalization and lessons learned
ACTIVITIES
Product design & validation:
- Works according to HSE requirements.
- Animate brainstorming sessions, challenges statusquo
- Contribute actively to Intellectual Property generation (IDF, patents)
- Identify new technologies and functions, analyse market and technology trends, benchmark serial products and technologies
- Attend technical conferences, professional fairs. Make the link with academics and partners, summarize and reports all relevant information to project stakeholders
- Define product specifications (customer, purchasing, and internal performance requirement), coordinate the product development and monitor the product and process convergence.
- Identify relevant constrains of manufacturing process (design for manufacturing, ergonomy and safety) to integrate them into the product and the means
- Create the BOM into the database and associated means relevant to the product/process
- Monitor the product convergence.
- Anticipate CAD, simulation and rheology requests and provides the inputs and define the priorities with the team. Monitor the associated deliverables.
- Manages and perform risk analysis (FMEAs + technical reviews).
- Highlight test deviations and propose corrective actions
- Is the main technical contact with the customer during the RFx.
Project Management:
- Defines the activities needed to achieve the deliverables, process of sequencing the activities.
- Determines the project provisional budget (hours and cost).
- Identify the critical path and control the schedule to manage progression and changes to the baseline.
- Identify the project risks and deviations, define the corrective actions to reach the project targets.
- Prepares and shares clear status of the project' progress each time needed, including Innovation milestones.
- Promote externally (OEM, external institutes, academics ) and internally technical innovation activities.
- Elaborates and transfers the technical data to the development, industrial and/or plant teams with a clear identification of the remaining risks to ensure successful transfer.
Continuous Improvements:
- Participates to capitalization
- Ensure that all the technical attributes and related documentation are filled in the relevant workspaces and up to date during the project
- Initiate Golden rules and capitalize lessons learned during all innovation phases
COMPETENCES REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree with experience or Master Degree
- Experience in Design and/or Development for automotive industry
- Fluent English
- Projectmanagement skills
- Leadership, able to make clear synthesis, organized, rigorous, team player and good communication
