5+ years' experience with Container Services (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Mesos), micro-services and DevOps practices

  • 5+ years' experience of growing adoption, utilization for Container Orchestration tools or platforms
  • Strong communication (written & spoken) and presentation skills for
- building rapport with customers at all levels including C-Level (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO)
- cooperating with and influencing effectively other teams within AWS and partners.

  • Technical and/or business degree required.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is required for customer interactions, internal communication and collaboration with the worldwide teams.
You would use your business understanding to drive revenue, develop sales programs, and identify new customers and opportunities.

You will work directly with the most interesting and demanding customers, to understand their requirements and turn them into reality.

Working hand in hand with our service teams, sales teams, and solution architects, you will help customers leverage the scale and performance of AWS to cost-effectively solve their most challenging problems.

Your background in Cloud-native Services (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, micro-services) and DevOps practices will help customers understand how to create value on the cloud.

Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will allow you build sales enablement initiatives, evangelize our platform with our customers, start-ups and valued partners.

A keen sense of ownership, drive, and Bias for Action is a must.

This position is based in Berlin or Munich, GER, with some travel mostly domestic as needed.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the GTM strategy for Container workloads serving our customers across Germany and Europe Central.
  • Lead and coordinate AWS Sales, Marketing, and Partners to win and communicate lighthouse customers
  • Enable the field organization to drive the daytoday interactions that identify prospects for longterm business opportunities.
  • Work with the AWS Partner team to build an ecosystem of partners that can deliver solutions and ensure partner readiness.
  • Synthesize data and information gathered from customer and partner engagements into succinct findings, derive strategic insights, and persuasively communicate findings and perspectives to product and sales teams, including to AWS senior management in order to identify repeatable, scalable solutions to customer requirements.
A day in the life
A typical working week for a Container Sales Specialist will involve (among others):

  • Creating a Go-to-market (GTM) plan for 12-15 months including getting feedback and buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Implementing
- and iterating on
- the GTM plan by cooperating with a multitude of AWS stakeholders/peers and partners; regularly reporting on progress.

  • Driving pipeline closure by engaging with existing and new customers as well as partners.
  • Defining and implementing pipeline creation activities.
  • Enabling relevant internal and external stakeholders to achieve scaling impact for container workload business
  • Regular business forecasting and reporting on business trends, high/low lights.
  • Increasing market awareness on AWS container Services by coordinating publishing of lighthouse customer stories
  • Serving as an evangelist for Container workloads in 1to1 or 1tomany settings, private or public.
