The job

Your tasks
- further development of citizen science concepts for environmental monitoring
- design and implementation of measurement campaigns for the characterization and monitoring of environmental parameters (e.g. air temperature, humidity, soil moisture) in different settings of a city
- analysis of environmental data from different sources (e.g. citizen, administration, remote sensing)
- development of python scripts for the analysis and visualization of environmental data
- contributions to environmental education of citizens
- writing of scientific publications
- support of project partners in the dissemination of project results

Profile:

A strong background in environmental science or geoscience (MSc or PhD)
Experience in the design and implementation of field campaigns
Programming skills
Enjoying to work in an interdisciplinary team and willingness to collaborate with international partners
Good written and oral communication skills in English
Enjoying systematic problem solving and working with field equipment, computers and data
