We are looking for a new member of the Volume Crystals - Oxides & Fluorides section.

Junior Research Group Leader (M/F/d)

The position is intended for post-doctoral researchers with not more than 3 year after their PhD that want to reach an international standing and target an academic leadership career.

A prerequisite for employment is a completed PhD (at least a submitted thesis) in physics, materials science, inorganic chemistry, mineralogy, materials science, or a related discipline.

The successful applicant should have a proven scientific record and experience in either materials synthesis and phase analysis, or in materials physics involving complex oxides, preferentially in combination with hands-on experience in crystal growth.

We expect high experimental skills, independent, project-oriented work and a high level of communication and teamwork towards both scientific and technical staff.

Relevant experience in student supervision, lecturing or staff management will be appreciated.

The applicant should speak English fluently and be at least willing to communicate also in German within a reasonable employment time.
