Mechanical Recycle Technical Advisor (M/F/d):
Responsibilities:
1. Technical advice
- you provide technical advice on mechanical recycling and compounding techniques in ABS, PO
- you create evaluation reports about certain technologies; sorting, washing, extruding, evaluating, and more deeper technology of waste plastic recycling
- you provide knowledge about recycling value chain in Europe and give advice on developing Post-Consumer Recycled business
(For ABS :
Home Appliance Recycling, E-Waste Recycling, End-of-Life Automotive Recycling, etc
For PO :
Packaging Film, Bottle Cap, etc)
2. Developing relationships with recycling partners
- you seek for potential partners (companies, institutes, start-ups, and venture capitals) for mechanical recycling technology
- you are a connector between LG Chem and recyclers/recycling machinery manufactures by organizing meetings, negotiating conditions for contracts etc.
- you communicate with colleagues and customers as needed using remote/virtual tools for on/offline meetings between HQ and partners
- you provide verbal and written project status reports to the management.
3. Analysis of recycle technology intelligence
- you actively follow new technologies, trends and market competitors and suggest new business/technologies based on personal insight of certain field or technology
4. Supporting on-going projects in Korea
- you provide benchmarking reports and support for adoption of advanced mechanical recycling technologies in Korea
Covering area:
mainly Germany/Spain/Italy/Netherlands/UK, but covers all other European countries
Requirements:
- Successfully completed studies or a comparable qualification in chemicals or materials or mechanical engineering or environmental engineering (Preferable if you have a M.Sc or Ph.
- Related work experience in PCR business, preferable if you are familiar with any kind of network around recycling companies/institutes/associations
- Highly motivated person with a strong resultsoriented work ethic
- A strong team player who thrives in a role that requires significant personal contributions, and depends on the successful collaboration between EU and Koreabased team members
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a minimum of supervision
- Organize/host and/or participate in conference calls with the project team, often across multiple time zones
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and in presentation
- Skilled in use of PC and related software (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Fluent English language skills
