Your tasks:

Join us as a
Data Product Owner and become part of our data specialist team. We take care of the digitalisation, processing, analysis and transformation of all our data. We distinguish between key areas, i.e. catalogue data, transaction data or statistical data and work to ensure that processes run smoothly for our international customers.


We are looking for someone to act as a bridge between data and domain experts, guiding the development and usage of data and_ _ensure that the roadmap of the data domain corresponds to nexmart business goals, customer requirements and technical feasibility.


  • You work in an agile team and are a fostering cocreator in the transformation of nexmart into a dataexcellence company.
  • You ensure that the roadmap of the data domain corresponds to nexmart business goals, customer requirements and technical feasibility and develop it further.
  • You build clear understanding of the existing data and oversee the development as data as a product with a lifecycle that meets customer needs.
  • You are also responsible for the in advance communication with stakeholders to collect business requirements and to communicate them your results later on.
  • You are responsible for the entire value creation process of the data domain and work closely with our data platform team, the data engineers and the development teams to guide the data product creation process.

Requirements:


  • You have several years of technical experience as a data analyst/scientist or product owner in the area of product data / data analytics
  • For the independent development of data concepts you have experience with topics like "data mesh/pipeline", "data lineage", "data contracts", "data quality", "data democratisation", "meta data", "data governance", "data metrics and performance" and "data impact, rentability and cost".
  • Moreover you have practical experience in at least one relevant programming and scripting language (e.g. Python, R, SQL) as well as in analysis platforms or BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Metabase).
  • You have strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to formulate ideas and complex concepts, as well as data documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • You have practical experience in analysing a variety of data from various sources and can act as a consultant to the business for data use cases.
  • You have excellent English communication skills. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • You are a team player and have a handson mentality: If necessary, you will help with the analysis and interpretation of large amounts of data or with the conception, design, optimisation and implementation of architectures and data models, etc.
  • You enjoy being creative, develop your own ideas, learning continuously and to share your knowledge.
