The Institute of Medical Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine (IBSM) at the Medical Center - University of Freiburg is looking for the next possible date for a

PhD / PostDoc Medical bioinformatics (M/F/d):

Your challenges:

- develop and optimize high-throughput analysis pipelines
- integrate complex RNAseq, Whole Exome Sequencing and TCR repertoire high-throughput data

Your profile:

PhD / PostDoc applicants should hold a MSc/PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics or a related discipline

- strong Knowledge about statistical and machine learning
- knowledge about gene editing techniques, e.g. CRISP-Cas
- he/she should have experience in bioinformatics, including next generation sequencing pipelines, data processing, analysis and visualization
- proficiency with programming languages such as Python, R or C++
- prior experience in software development, Version control system (e.g. git) and containers (e.g. Docker)
- experience with Unix/Linux
- pro-active learning
- ability to work independently as well as a team-member
- excellent communication and organizational skills
