UX Designer:

We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.

About Yara:

We at Yara are part of a global network, collaborating to profitably and responsibly solve some of the world's key challenges - resource scarcity, food insecurity and environmental change.

Yara People, Process, and Digitalization (YPD) has the overall responsibility for Yara's people and culture development, as well as for technology, architecture, and solutions that enable the digitalization of Yara's core processes and operations.

By bringing people and transformation resources, as well as process, digital, and tech capabilities into one cross-functional area, YPD is set to accelerate the transformation.

About the Unit:

In Digital Production, we believe our operational data in combination with digital technologies can help us to significantly improve reliability and performance of our production facilities.

We are developing the Yara Digital Production Platform (DPP), a digital platform built on AWS, ensuring uniform data access to all our production facilities.

On top of DPP we build or integrate scalable, solid and user-friendly digital products that support our employees at the sites or in global functions to further improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of our processes and operations.

Our unit is responsible end-to-end for the impact of digital products. In other words, we establish the vision, develop, and deploy our products at the production sites.

We have several cross-functional teams organized in 4 different domains, working with web and mobile interfaces that are making our production teams work smarter, faster and with more safety.

About the role:

Design and UX are of increasing importance for the work we do, and we are therefore building dedicated competence in the team.

We are looking for a
UX Designer to join this new team.

This is a permanent role, open in Berlin (hybrid working model: 2 days in the office, 3 days at home).

Travel to production facilities will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as an individual contributor, promoting collaborative work between peers such as Product Managers, Business Analysts, Data Scientists and Software Engineers
  • Act as main reference on your group's domain space from a Design/UX perspective
  • Plan, conduct and synthetize learnings from Design/UX research activities and collaborative workshops around your group's domain
  • Introduce, document and update user profiles, workflows, journey maps and related Design/UX tools for team alignment and user centric vision
  • Design interaction flows, UI mockups and interactive prototypes for rapid evaluation
  • Collaborate and share with Design peers through ceremonies such as critiques and retros

Profile:

  • BSc/MSc in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Behavioral Psychology, or similar education
  • Meaningful experience related to Design initiatives
  • Good skills in planning and delivering high quality work that turns user problems into great solutions
  • Good experience in designing complex interfaces for desktop and tablet environments, a plus if you have worked with dashboards for production management and data visualization
  • Proactive and comfortable in putting your teammates in your process, balancing the needed input with the time of their availability
  • Able to facilitate discussions and workshops with the right balance of space of collaboration and structure for objectiveness
  • Great skills in Figma and familiarity with Miro as tools for conducting your work
