Master Thesis "Optical filter design for integrated photonics" (M/F/d)

Your Tasks for a 6-month thesis:

Initial literature survey of different filtering schemes
Create physical layout of a test chip to characterize the designed filters optically

Your Tasks for a 12-month thesis:

Supervised fabrication of the designed test chips in AMO's clean room
Optical characterization of the designed filters

Your Profile:

Masterstudent in physics, electrical engineering or similar
Ideally with experience in simulation software (Ansys Lumerical) and GDSII mask layout software
Skills in programming and especially Python are a plus
Systematic working style, careful analysis of results
Fluent in both spoken and written English, German is a plus
