About the Job:


We are the global Product Management team in charge of Product Management, Product Strategy, Business Intelligence, Technology & Innovation, and the Engineering Center of Excellence for HARMAN's Automotive division.

Within this steam we are looking for a passionate automotive professional with a strategic and technical mindset who will help us in driving our current and future strategy for HARMAN Automotive.


Join our technology strategy team as Product Business Strategist and become a key player in defining and shaping our automotive product strategy.

This means you help in designing and evolving the Divisional Strategy and Business Strategy Process, lead, develop and train the stakeholders team and guide the communication of the strategy across the organization.

You champion the strategy and business process in its regular iteration cycles and advise on the strategic fit within the divisional goals.

To do so you are in continuous exchange with all functions in all regions of the automotive division and have a solid overview of the needs and developments in the business.


Responsibilities:


  • Support the formalization, implementation and iteration cycles of the new Automotive Strategy process that will include, but will not be limited to:
  • Divisional strategy development and implementation process
  • Functional strategy across key functions
  • Product Management and Innovation process integration into overall strategy
  • Alignment between Business Unit and Customer Group Regional strategies
  • Oversee the implementation of the strategies with high degree of autonomy
  • Create best in class business strategy toolbox and rollout across the organization as part of the strategy process e.g., tools and methodologies such as business model / value proposition canvas
  • Upskill all stakeholders in the organization through a trainthetrainer approach by also utilizing the HARMAN university
  • Support the first steps of the team's strategy execution as a trainer, workshop facilitator and coach for the global teams both in person and in virtual sessions
  • Build and maintain a strong network of global key stakeholders across the automotive division. Support the teams to overcome silos and build up a cooperative community
  • Communicate findings and progress of the strategy in an easy understandable way and continuously tell and reinforce the story
  • Drive the process and manage the stakeholders to support the overall target of creating a fast and nimble work culture, continuously reinforce and evolve the strategy process with a lean and digital first approach.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing, Consulting or Strategy
  • Excellent university degree or equivalent work experience in business administration
  • Experience in working directly with automotive OEMs or equivalent automotive experience
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Excellent knowledge of modern workshop methods, tools and track record in workshop execution
  • Experience in education, teaching, and new learning methods
  • Organized and entrepreneurial mindset: ability to work independently with little structure, quickly adjust to new circumstances and work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at the same time
  • Good communication skills and ability to motivate and to resolve conflicts
  • Highly result driven, organized and deadlineoriented with a clear cando mentality i.e., drive to overcome independently project obstacles
  • Strong quantitative capabilities, very structured and critical thinking with good analytical skills
  • Creative and innovative problemsolving skills
  • Selfmotivated and willing to drive things forward

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Strategy Consulting, inhouse consulting, or comparable experience
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization with stakeholders across the globe
  • International work experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Further language skills such as Mandarin, or Indian language/dialects are a plus
