THE ROLE & THE TEAM:

As the Lead of Environmental and Packaging Operations at Zalando, you'll oversee a team of six managers responsible for various aspects of our centralized packaging supply chain, including quality control, new product introduction (NPI), master data management, and environmental operations.

Your role will involve coordinating the supply of packaging materials to 37 locations across Europe, including hubs, spokes, return centers, refurbishment centers, and inbound distribution centers.

You'll work to maintain and improve master data in SAP, automate operations, and establish process-based workflows, such as supply chain parameters and quality specifications.

Your responsibilities will include developing autonomous operations within the team to ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) with both internal and external stakeholders, while also integrating new sustainability initiatives.

You'll need a deep technical understanding of supply chain processes, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and the ability to create KPIs for operational excellence.

You'll lead a diverse team of professionals, including both experienced Zalando team members and young talent, collaborating closely with R&D, sustainability experts, product managers, and analysts as part of the wider Logistics Sustainability and Packaging team.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You have experience leading teams of experienced managers and fostering a highperformance organizational culture.
You possess strong technical knowledge of supply chain and environmental operations, as well as proficiency in operational KPIs.
You have excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with a multilingual international audience. Proficiency in German is highly advantageous.
You have experience with ERP systems for planning processes, preferably SAP, and an understanding of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
You have a strong continuous improvement mindset and can drive projects from concept to completion.
You have experience managing packaging projects across multiple locations simultaneously and managing supply chain parameters and forecasts.
