We are a dynamic, expanding company with exciting opportunities in language/culture, training/education/instruction, IT, cyber security, and intelligence (analysts, CI, HUMINT, SIGINT, etc.).

Global Dimensions is currently seeking Technical Inspector Leads for positions in Kaiserslautern, Germany.


The Technical Inspector Lead performs technical inspections and verifies the work performed on tactical M2/M3 track vehicles, material handling equipment and power generation equipment and their sub-systems IAW appropriate procedures and publications.

Repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and cooling system systems components, on vehicles, equipment and their subsystems as assigned IAW appropriate procedures and publications.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Performs technical inspections and verifies the work performed on tactical wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, power generation equipment and their subsystems IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Performs technical inspections, determines repair parts required and performs mechanical maintenance actions and repairs on various combat/ tactical track and wheeled vehicles IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Performs diagnostic tests, using measuring devices, instruments, test equipment, special tools and lifting devices, to identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and cooling systems failures IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Operates/tests various types of equipment, and attached systems IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and cooling system systems components, on vehicles, equipment and their subsystems as assigned IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Removes, repairs, and replaces: engine, drive train and body components; hydraulic, electrical and cooling system components as required IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Prepares, completes and maintains equipment logs, records all RSOI's and technical inspections reports, etc.; all IAW appropriate procedures and publications
  • Performs cleanup duties and polices the shop and work areas as assigned
  • Supports / participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA Program as required
  • Trains, mentors, and enhances the performance of coworkers and other personnel as required
  • Trains, cross trains and attends training sessions as required
  • Complies with all Company rules, policies and procedures
  • Complies with all safety, environmental and quality standards and applicable COPs and DOPs
  • Writes performance evaluation comments / reports when placed in a control/assignment directive role
  • Provides for accountability and proper care of all GFE / CFE
  • Favorably interacts with internal / external customers
  • Will be required, on an as needed basis, to assist to perform functions in maintenance work areas. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:


Knowledge & Skills:


  • Must understand and be able to use technical manuals
  • Must be able to read complex schematic diagrams
  • Field of Expertise: Inspection, trouble shooting, repair and verification of tactical Track and wheeled vehicles, material handling equipment, power generation equipment and equipment
  • Must have basic computer operating skills
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Writes performance evaluation comments and reports when placed in a control/ assignment directive role
  • Will be required to be trained in the operation of the STAMIS (GCSS-A) and ALIMS programs and other automation systems
  • Updates technical manuals

Experience & Education:


  • Must have seven (7) years verifiable experience in inspection, verification, repair, and maintenance on tactical wheeled vehicles and equipment (one year of track experience may be applied toward the seven years verifiable experience)
  • Must complete a handson inspection of selected vehicles with a minimum of 90% passing score to demonstrate ability to perform the duties of the position. This includes an evaluation to perform job duties.
  • Subject to completion of a sixty (60) day trial period
  • Relevant experience must include at least four (4) months experience in their current position except when promoting to a higher rated position
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Experience in a leadership role is desirable

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:


  • Work under stressful circumstances and meets shorts suspense dates
  • Worksite for the M2 Mission equipment includes the shops, various storage yards, the Issue Yard, test tracks and other areas where the Equipment moves.
  • Must be free of medical restriction/ limitations that prevent the performance of required duties and/ or prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
