A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy's pension management team has the financial responsibility for group-wide end-to-end global pension management (in close alignment with the HR strategy) to safeguard Siemens Energy's financial goals.

In your new role you will be part of the Accounting & Controlling (A&C) team and take care of the correct accounting for all post-employment benefits of the Siemens Energy group.

How You'll Make an Impact

You take ownership of the correct consolidation and accounting of postemployment benefits according to IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) as well as for the preparation of budgets, forecasts and external disclosures (in English and German).
You conduct independently control activities, analyses and sense checks and you continuously comment on the development of postemployment benefit KPIs for internal and external reportings.
You challenge and optimize existing processes and support the digitalization journey of the processes.
You coordinate external service providers, especially actuaries regarding the continuous valuation of the pension liabilities and you form the interface to the external auditors and other finance departments within Siemens Energy (SE).
You take over responsibilities within project teams to optimize the pension landscape in line with the corporate strategy.
You evaluate projects about their financial effects on the balance sheet, P/L and cashflow statement.
Moreover, you support local entities worldwide with any specific questions regarding the accounting for postemployment benefits under IFRS

What You Bring

You successfully completed a degree in (economic) mathematics, business administration/economics or similar areas, ideally with a specialization in accounting & controlling or actuarial science
Additionally, you have gained several years of work experience in the areas of accounting, controlling, auditing or actuarial services
Ideally, you have gained knowledge of SAP based reporting tools and distinguish yourself by sound Microsoft Excel skills
You are experienced in project work and have already taken over ownership for subprojects
Personally, you convince us through curiosity and creativity
You have distinct communication and conceptual skills and you convince through initiative and careful operation. You proactively search for solutions and approaches.
Moreover you can think processes endtoend and design them accordingly.
You are fluent in spoken and written German and English.

Long-term pension obligations and their related financing risks are impacting SE's Balance Sheet. Our mission is to correctly reflect all pension related financial matters in SE's balance sheet, P&L and cashflow statement. We consolidate and prepare the data for various stakeholders, thereby enabling effective risk management.
