For the Process Management Group (PMG) at our location in Rheinbreitbach, we are looking for your support as a Scientist (M/F/d) in the field of Downstream Processing.


The team for you to join
We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join our Process Management Group in the HMO business unit. In Rheinbreitbach, Germany we are developing and optimizing our processes to produce our HMOs. You will be involved in transferring the new processes to our different production sites in Europe. As part of a cross-functional collaboration team between different locations of the Chr.

Hansen HMO business unit, you will contribute to build a tight connection between the different sites, conduct exciting collaborative process management and projects for the development and optimization of production processes with a global impact.


Your future role will include

  • Independent execution of projects for the development and optimization of HMO production processes
  • Organization and coordination of laboratory activities and employees
  • Organization of external and internal cooperation
  • Data collection and analysis in cooperation with production sites
  • Support in planning, implementation and commissioning of new test and production lines

Your profile

  • University (of applied sciences) degree in biotechnology / process engineering / food technology or comparable training
  • Experience in common downstream processing methods in the biotech or food industry
  • Ideally, professional experience in the food, biotechnological or chemical industry
  • Independent, structured and solutionoriented work

Personal competences

  • Being our new colleague in the Process Management Group, we expect you to be a true teamplayer with strong interpersonal skills, you are outgoing, communicative and not shy of speaking up. You have the ability to work independently, you are proactive and find it natural to challenge existing procedures and processes.
  • As you can expect to work on several projects in parallel, it is important that you can navigate in an environment with various projects and stakeholders, and that you can drive and execute on projects with short deadlines and diverse deliverables. Finally, as the local team mainly communicates in German and English is our corporate language, you need to be fluent in both, orally and in writing.
