Our compensation package:
€120,000 - €135,000 in yearly salary, €120,000 - €180,000 in equity. Additionally, up to €5,000/year in company benefits

Your role:

You will lead and support Orbem's IP strategy to protect and empower our technological developments. As the IP Principal, you will work closely with several teams to identify intellectual property developments and advise on the strategy for each case. You will be leading the efforts towards a solid IP strategy and a versatile IP portfolio in a deep tech company.

Your day-to-day:

You will be focusing on the following areas:

IP strategy:Establish best practices and processes to ensure a strong company IP strategy with a broad patent portfolio, enhancing the value of intellectual labor

New technological developments management:Examination of the company's technological developments in the area of Software, AI, Imaging and Automation to identify intellectual property cases. Provide expert IP guidance across teams

Management:Management of intellectual property assets

Publications:Leading efforts in publications relevant to technological developments and innovation

IP strategy

You have implemented and improved an IP strategy within a company or public institution
You have 5+ years of work experience in the IP field
You have conducted and assessed prior art research for invention disclosures
You have experience in patent drafting and have been successful in submission of at least 3 patents

NDAs and Licensing

You have experience with patent licensing contracts and term sheets
You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in contract and agreement negotiations
You are an excellent communicator
You are keen and able to represent Orbem with internal and external partner
You enjoy staying continuously in the front line of IP regulations and standards
You are excited about innovation and enjoy careful examination of technological developments
You bring good understanding of artificial intelligence or software development
You are analytical, structured and persistent with excellent communication skills
