- Lead our EHS team and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide effective advice to plant management on legislation and safety culture.
- Develop and implement innovative safety programs, enhancing our EHS systems.
- Act as the Chief Health and Safety Officer, coordinating safety-related activities and bolstering our fire prevention measures.
- Serve as the primary liaison for authorities and external partners regarding EHS matters.
- Foster a zero-tolerance policy towards breaches in occupational safety and environmental standards.
- Conduct major EHS audits and devise strategies for continuous improvement.
- University degree or equivalent in technology, process engineering, or chemical engineering, with certification as a "safety and health protection officer".
- Extensive professional experience, including significant time as a safety engineer in the chemical industry, and experience leading an EHS department.
- Proven leadership skills with stellar communication abilities, capable of engaging across various levels in a matrix organization.
- A change agent who is passionate about driving transformation within the organization.
- Fluent in German and English (both spoken and written).
- Additional training as an incident officer is a plus.
