We are looking for a Technical Project Lead (TPL) for Audio Signal Processing within the BMW Audio Infrastructure domain.

You will be responsible for driving the technical definition, planning, implementation, and deployment of the audio signal processing functionality of our next generation head-unit and passenger entertainment systems.

You will be a leading member of our international team, coordinating with our suppliers, BMW functional owners (Connectivity, Speech, Projected Modes, Automated driving), software and system architects and the development and test teams.

You will work along-side the TPL for Audio Routing Management and the Principal Engineer supporting the Audio Infrastructure Domain Project Lead.

What awaits you?

  • You plan and agree with architects (BMW and suppliers) on the technical audio processing requirements breakdown/ elicitation.
  • You plan with stakeholders the delivery of the various audio signal processing elements to support both individual FO planning and the overall project timing.
Additionally, yousteer the audio signal processing development and respective integration activity.

  • You define and coordinate the domain test activities for audio signal processing anddefine possibilities for future audio signal processing inhouse development.
  • Furthermore, you will ensure compliance to architecture, quality, robustness, and stability targets / KPIs andguide efforts to remove blockers and encourage collaboration across teams.
  • You provide a point of escalation for both internal domain and external functional teams facing complex technical challenges around audio signal processing.
  • Additionally, you agree and drive the solutions to problems associated with audio processing functionality/ performance/ robustness.
  • You report to the Audio Infrastructure Dmain Project Lead, and if necessary, ECU project hierarchy.
What should you bring along?

  • University degree in electrical engineering, software/IT, sciences or a comparable field of study.
  • Professional experience and track record in technical/ project leadership and software delivery, ideally in vehicle infotainment and/ or consumer electronics.
  • Technical background/ knowledge of DSPbased audio signal processing andEcho Cancellation/ Noise Reduction, and preferably as well in Audioweaverand software engineering.
  • Passion for customercentric product development of the highest quality.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work structured in largescale projects, multidimensional thinking, selfresponsible.
  • Willingness for occasional travel.
  • Businessfluent English, good German would be an advantage.
