For our Offshore Project Controlling team we are looking for a Project Controller in Hamburg.

As Project Controller you are the Financial Business Partner to both Commercial Project Manager as well for Technical Project Managers.

You will be part of different international project teams and will interface with colleagues in Accounting and Business Controlling.

How to contribute to our vision


As Project Controller you are responsible for controlling, planning, and reporting of assigned construction contracts in Germany, France, and other countries.

The role is focused on Project Financial KPIs for Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Free Cash Flow.

The tasks can vary as the project execution progress in the design, manufacturing, and installation of the wind turbines, but the KPIs are reported on monthly basis.


Tasks in the project controller responsibility:

  • Manage the forecast process by organizing reviews and managing data from stakeholders.
  • Analyze actuals and cost to complete for the project; explain deviations using cost drivers.
  • Implement financial forecast in SAP4HANA and contribute to monthly reporting for your projects.
  • Support Commercial Project Manager and Management team with ad hoc requests.
  • Contribute with expertise on financial topics e.g. VAT, Tax, Export control, Internal Controls.


As Project Controller you will also be part of a Global Project Controlling team and thereby getting the chance to contribute to improvement projects or key user activities e.g.

process descriptions, work optimization solutions, IT system testing, training other colleagues.

What you need to make a difference

  • You are passionate about renewable business and want to learn a lot in the job.
  • You are a team player, and you take ownership and contribute to the success of the project.
  • You are structured, organized and can keep the overview while deep diving into details.
  • You are valuing open and direct communication and constructive feedback.
  • You are motivated by working in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • You have a university degree in Finance, Accounting, International Business or Finance & IT.
  • You know your way around out IT landscape IT (Excel, SAP, Power BI) and like working with and structuring big data.
  • You have gained a few years experience in Accounting /Controlling/ Audit field (full time/internship).
  • You have a solid understanding of and experience with percentageofcompletion accounting as well as a general knowledge about local taxes and accounting rules in Germany and France.
  • You are business fluent in English. German and/or French language skills are an advantage.
  • You are living in/are willing to relocate to the Hamburg area and look forward to travel occasionally.
