Corporate Sustainability Expert (f/m/d).

In this role, you will work with us to ensure compliance with upcoming regulations related to deforestation in the EU, UK, US, and other regions, by establishing a group-wide due diligence system.

This contract is initially limited to two years.

Exciting tasks are waiting for you:

Solution-driven: Implement and refine our roadmap for compliance with the upcoming regulations related to deforestation and drive existing and new projects on agroforestry and afforestation in coffee growing areas.

Customer-focused: Be the main point of contact within NKG for inquiries related to deforestation and related programs.

Collaborative: Coordinate our team of experts from different areas (compliance, sustainable business development, legal, supply chain management, procurement) and from group companies worldwide for efficient implementation of the regulations.

Engaging: Lead communication between internal stakeholders (board, management, trade, supply chain management, sustainability teams of importing and exporting companies worldwide) and support external communication activities.

Future-focused: Lead the implementation of internal NKG due diligence systems for deforestation compliance, including selection and contract negotiation with third parties, accounting for existing structures and requirements of relevant regulations.

Entrepreneurial:Drive the development and implementation of projects that contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and deforestation, while improving farmer livelihoods.

Strategic: Develop pioneering international projects, analyze new deforestation regulations and identify their impact on NKG's business.

This is what you can offer:

Education:University degree in business administration, supply chain management, sustainability, (tropical) forestry, agronomy, or international law.

Background:Relevant work experience, preferably in global supply chain management, supplier management, the setup of due diligence systems, deforestation, certifications, FLEGT/EUTR, or ESG reporting. You should possess expertise in effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences, along with strong project management skills, preferably in an agile environment.

Supply chain sharpness: Your entrepreneurial mindset and experience in supply chains of coffee or other commodities are a plus.

Personality: Analytical working style, solution-driven mindset, service mentality and openness to work in a multicultural environment.

Internationality: You demonstrate strong intercultural skills and an excellent command of English; Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus.

MS Office: You have a good command of the MS Office package, especially Excel.
