Summary

Function Responsibilities
Develop and implement communications and patient advocacy and strategies and plans to help meet Incyte Germany's business objectives for its Oncology and Dermatology portfolio and strengthen company/franchise/brand reputation


Specifically:

  • Drive key brand and portfolio communication initiatives, engaging general, trade and online media, as well as external stakeholders (i.e., physicians, patient organisations, caregivers, payers), as appropriate.
  • Develop and manage the review process for local market press releases and other external communications materials (e.g., fact sheets, videos, Web and social content, etc.) in line with functional and regional policies and processes.
  • Exemplify and foster patientcentric culture within the organization by bringing patients' perspectives and understanding of the external healthcare environment to internal teams, aligning key interests between the company and patient organisations as well as managing productive and enduring relationships with those groups.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with Incyte teams/internal partners (e.g., medical, market access, commercial, legal, compliance, HEOR, regulatory and PV as well as other regional and global public affairs colleagues).
  • Support the development and implementation of and advocacy orientated initiatives and activities in Germany, including:
  • Develop and manage partnership programs that elevate Incyte's engagement with patient/advocacy groups around shared interests and advance understanding of patient needs within key therapeutic areas of interest.
  • Develop thorough understanding of patient groups, professional organizations networks to apprehend their capacity and interests in specified areas and identify/leverage opportunities for collaboration.
  • Contribute to the brand and corporate strategic planning process by sharing insights and providing patient and patient advocacy groups' perspectives.
  • Represent Incyte at key local market patient advocacy group as well as health policy and trade associations meetings and events.
  • Strengthen and operationalize guidelines for patient organizations interactions and oversee grant and sponsorship process in Germany, including tracking and reporting.
  • Contribute positively to a strong culture of integrity and ethics by acting within local, regional and global compliance and legal requirements and company policies.

Requirements:


  • BA/BS required. Advanced degree in science, health or businessrelated field preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in public relations, patient advocacy/patient relations or similar function/experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to represent Incyte when interacting with external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patient advocacy groups, professional associations, academia, policy makers and other stakeholders.
  • Confident personal presence and experience managing and hosting live activities/programs.
  • Highly driven, strategic and results oriented.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment with diverse groups/function, overseeing complex programs and managing external vendors.
  • Demonstrating strong culture of business integrity and ethics.
  • Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word & PowerPoint, required).
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
