Planning of inbound Grain Logistics - A key component of your work is the planning of the grain supply and logistics to our Hamburg site and other factories if required.

You align with our supply chain and manufacturing teams to ensure the grind needs are met with timely raw material shipments from our suppliers observing shipment periods contracted, organizing vessel and barge transport and managing our silo and port logistics.

You partner with our service providers to plan silo space usage and dispatch to our site.

  • Planning and Execution of By-Product Sales & Logistics
  • With your colleagues you ensure that our byproduct supply is shipped according to our output and sales. Close alignment with our manufacturing, on site loading staff (VTR), customers and forwarders. Building good internal and external relationships and maintaining them is key. Together with our Quality Department you ensure adherence to contract specifications and regulations. In case of complaints you mange them together with our Manufacturing and Quality Departments.
  • Working in our SAP ERP system
  • You work in the SAP module MM to ensure all transactions are entered. You support with entry, maintenance and control of master data including prices in purchase info records.

Qualification, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Completed apprenticeship in forwarding, foreign commerce, industrial commerce or a bachelor degree in supply chain / economics / agribusiness
  • Min. 3 years of professional experience in an agricultural trading or processing company
  • Knowledge of standard grain/feed contracts like GAFTA, Incograin, "Einheistbedingungen"
  • Basic understanding of agri supply chains, bulk shipping and commercial documents
  • IT skills: good knowledge of MS Office & SAP MM
  • Independent worker and team player
  • Commercial and analytical knowledge and skills, working both with numbers and people
  • Strong time management and efficient use of own resources
  • Initiative and flexible when changing priorities and under deadline pressure
  • Problemsolving skills and goal orientation, including resilience and perseverance
  • Open to innovations and changes
  • Fluent in German and English spoken and written
  • French would a be a strong plus
