Purpose Statement:


The Interventional Cardiology market is evolving and it requires us to adapt to progressive purchasing & customer consolidation, growing relevance of economic stakeholders, increasing deal complexity and highly articulated marketing & commercial strategies.

We are creating this new role to help us evolving our data-driven commercial excellence strategy aligning it to local market dynamics and to prompt internal execution and mindset shift around key marketing and commercial areas (e.g. deal design strategies, pricing, remote techs).

As a member of the EMEA Customer & Commercial Excellence team, this role will be accountable for the Central Cluster geography (Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland) and will partner with both commercial and marketing organizations to set and implement best-in-class commercial strategies to fuel BSC New Cardio division's growth ambitions.

In this role we expect the new Commercial Excellence Lead to:


  • Be a strategic partner to the country and cluster organizations to build targeted commercial policies and deal design strategies
  • Translate EMEA marketing and commercial strategies into actionable principles, guidelines & tools at cluster and country level
  • Leverage market and customer data to constantly identify growth opportunities and review the achievements of implemented initiatives
  • Lead evolution and innovation of commercial excellence practices within assigned geographies
  • Partner with local leadership to drive the execution of EMEA key strategies in the region.
The role has accountability for commercial excellence practices definition and implementation across the Central Cluster.

It will require a major ability to influence internal stakeholders, a strong collaboration mindset and a dual-faced strategic and execution attitude, supported by a solid set of analytical skills and a deep knowledge of country-specific market dynamics.


Key Responsibilities:


Deal Strategy & Design

  • Build targeted commercial policies by franchise/by type of customers (GPOs, Regional, Local /T1, T2, T3) by providing principles & guidelines in close partnership with country and cluster management
  • Partner with commercial organization to define optimal deal strategy for the key accounts across the cluster
  • Create adhoc analysis and simulation tools to maximize growth and profitability from each deal
  • Measure commercial policies effectiveness and advice on actionable improvements
  • Closely monitor deal compliance to secure optimal execution
  • Partner with Key Account Manager to enhance solution selling through deal design and analytical support

Pricing

  • Translate franchise
- and product-specific EMEA pricing strategies into actionable country policies and partner closely with the commercial & marketing organization to drive optimal execution

  • Be the focal point for consolidating pricing intelligence information and activities at local level
  • Lead local implementation of new pricing models/schemes
  • Actively contribute to spreading pricing culture within cluster and country organizations
  • Lead local Quarterly Pricing Reviews process (QPR)
  • Collaborate with both EMEA and country teams to Price Book reviews

Market & Customer Insights

  • Identify and size business opportunities at country, franchise and customer level
  • Set up adhoc analyses and business cases for specific commercial initiatives
  • Translate consolidated customer information into meaningful customer insights and partner with commercial & marketing organization to define ROI of customer initiatives

Customer Coverage

  • Leverage territory mapping/design methodologies to optimize customer allocation to each sales force member, maximizing coverage and execution on opportunities in a balanced fashion

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 35 years professional experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Strategy, Commercial Excellence, Financial Planning & Analysis functions and roles within structured environments. Previous experience in Healthcare industry as a plus.
