Your Role


Your mission as Vice President Business Control is to support the division in the ambition to achieve sustainable profitable growth and improve profitability by leading the consolidation process through the analysis of the Division results and assessing the individual performance of the different business entities within the Division.

You will advise the divisional President and the divisional management team in the area of business control from a global perspective, assess the financial impact of divisional strategic directions, and be an active member of the divisional management.

By working in a pro-active way, e.g. follow-up of trends and forecasting process, your analysis supports divisional result predictability.

  • Promote and ensure the Group's Core Values Interaction, Commitment and Innovation, guidelines, and policies laid down in The Way We Do Things.
  • Support the Group's Vision "First in Mind and First in Choice" by focusing on and continuously promoting and developing a Customer-Value and a Customer-Care driven culture
  • Develop and support a spirit of open communication, fairness, nondiscrimination, and respect for the individuals in all areas of operation
  • Develop strong support for "People Care" with a focus on identifying, supporting, and follow up of talented employees with a good potential to grow in the Atlas Copco Group.
  • Interact with other Group units in a constructive, productive, and unselfish way that supports the development of synergies and the consolidated result of the Divisions and performance of the Business Area (and the Group)
  • Safeguard integrity and transparency of operations and of the legal structure by making sure that FAM and Business Code of Practice is understood and applied where relevant
  • Ensure a solid control and analysis of the division's consolidated financial performance and make sure that the financial reporting and accounting practices of all customer centers and product companies reporting into the division are fully in line with FAM and local legal rules.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of P&L and balance sheet of the division
  • Develop and roll out a system and tools to create the highest level of transparency on financial KPIs for the division, the customer centers, and the product companies so that the correct strategic decisions are taken.
  • Improve standard reporting package to be more comprehensive, more aligned, and consistent in terms of look and feel. Set of reports should be readily available to different stakeholders to be used as analytical tools to define and focus on the activity plan.
  • Drive the structure of the transfer price process for the division.
  • Pay attention to assets management of newly acquired entities.
  • Proactive contribution to the risk management of the division
  • Secure that The Way We Do (FAM) is understood and followed throughout the division and in all reporting entities
  • Improve the competence and financial understanding within the division through training, developing training material, close communication, and mentoring.
  • Drive digitalization projects to ease our reporting.
  • Develop a good network within Finance shared service, explore opportunities to use their service, and suggest further extension of the scope of their service.

To succeed, you will need

  • Knowledge

  • Finance/Controlling/Accounting and IFRS rules
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience
  • Experience
from working in finance and/or Business Control and Atlas Copco reporting according to FAM, especially in a product company environment

  • Experience
with Microsoft Office, SAP, GPS, BW and Power BI

  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, some holidays, and weekends
  • Proven leadership skills in coaching others in business control and risk management
  • Educational Background
  • University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • MBA preferred
  • CPA/CMA certification a plus
