Headquartered in Vienna, the EIT Health Austria CLC- brings together 15 Core, Associate and Network
Partners, featuring leading universities, businesses, start-up incubators, and healthcare providers, in
- cluding one of Europe's largest Hospitals and care facility holdings.

About the Role & its Responsibilities
The EIT Health Austria CLC Director will be expected to manage the day-to-day operations of the CLC
with other CLC core team members - who conduct Innovation, Education, Business Creation, and Cor
- porate Affairs activities - alongside other legal entities such as InvestHealth and/or WorkInHealth/Tal
- ent Market Place.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and steer the Austria CLC, serving as spokesperson and operational lead.
  • Develop and position the Austria CLC as a major driver in healthcare innovation adoption, ed
- ucation, talent development, and business creation.
  • Handle financial, legal, and administrative aspects of the CLC and associated entities.
  • Facilitate cooperation among Austrian Partners within the CLC and EIT Health community.
  • Represent the Austria CLC in EIT Health e.
V. governance bodies.

  • Steer all CLC specific aspects of the EIT Health Business Plan and manage the corresponding

- assets.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders at European and regional levels for synergies

- and portfolio development.
  • Plan and manage stakeholder relations, attracting new Partners from academia, industry, and
health sectors.

  • Contribute to emerging strategic initiatives and strengthen Austrian participation.
  • Develop new initiatives, projects, or services supporting EIT Health strategy and sustainability.
  • Report to the CLC Supervisory Board as well as work under the supervision of the KIC LE Man
- agement Board.


Current Priorities:

  • Manage a diverse team of innovative and engaged professionals, including earlycareer and
experienced leaders.

  • Expand Partner base in Austria.
  • Enhance engagement within the Austrian health innovation ecosystem.
  • Foster relationships with national and regional stakeholders and policy makers.
  • Develop EIT Health activities and services of the Austria CLC to contribute to organisation and
network sustainability.

Required Qualifications & Profile


Essential:

  • Experienced executive manager with at least ten years of relevant experience in the health
and life science sector.

  • Strong experience in development and implementation of health innovation strategies in
interaction with universities, start-ups, research institutions, and industry.

  • Proven leadership capabilities and ability to manage a team of professional staff and engage
individuals with a broad range of backgrounds and interests.

  • A relevant people network in the Austrian health sectors.
  • Team player with excellent leadership skills who is able to operate on a strategic level.
  • Ability to bring together and lead diverse international and national stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong presentation and public relations

- skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in complex and innovative environments, cross
- culturally in an international public-private environment; an entrepreneurial mindset and the
motivation to develop a purpose
- and impact-driven organisation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Desirable:

  • Experience in managing and operating a small legal entity, including finance, human
resources, and legal matters.
