We are currently looking to fill several positions for Scientists/Postdocs (M/F/d) and PhD students, in the fields of Bioinformatics /Protein engineering/ Biocatalysis. Within an interdisciplinary team at the Chair of Chemistry of Biogenic Resources in cooperation with other groups at TUM the project will focus on the design of sustainable biotechnological production routes of chemicals and food compounds by integration of Hydrogen and CO2 utilization and biomass waste residue conversion. Methods to be applied are Synthetic biology (ultra-high throughput technologies, combined with AI processes), Biocatalysis (enzyme cascades, protein engineering), Bioinformatics (enzyme design and in silico protein engineering), Microfludics (Lab on a chip methods) and Bioprocess engineering (biotransformation, fermentation).
Your profile

Aboveaverage master's degree and doctorate in bioinformatics, biochemistry, chemistry, biotechnology or related fields
Strong background in at least one of the above mentioned field
Experience with publication of research results and in project proposal writing
Scientific curiosity, ability to work in a team and selfmotivated style, organizational skills and willingness to take on responsibility
