Responsibilities:

Leading the Applied Research & Technology activities for Marine & Protective and General Industrial (Metal-Glass) Coating Applications for the EMEA Industrial & Transportation organization
Initiation and execution of new innovation activities and projects in accordance with the EMEA & Global strategy
Responsibility for the technical collaboration with customers to provide solutions and enable the use of Evonik products
Creating technical documents and publications
Holding technical presentations at seminars as well as fairs and conferences
Strong interaction within a global team of Industrial & Transportation Coating experts
Positioning of products within the responsible market segment
Responsibility for the functionality of the laboratories and technical centers

Requirements:

M.Sc. or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering, Polymer engineering, Coating Technology, Material Science or related technical field
Work experience of 5+ years in Applied Technology, Technical Service or comparable positions
Business fluency in English and German
Willingness to travel internationally
Excellent management skills with experience in team leadership
