This position is responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing functions of Almatis as well as developing and implementing procurement strategies that support the company's growth goals, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and supplier quality.

Responsibilities

Main focus areas are as follows:

Develop and execute a global procurement strategy to support the Almatis' business objectives.
Oversee the sourcing and procurement of key products, and services at Almatis global locations.
Ensure that procurement processes are costeffective, efficient, and in line with company policies and procedures.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, effective payment terms, and timely delivery
Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws, including antibribery and anticorruption laws.
Lead the global procurement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive success.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and the technical teams, to understand their needs and ensure procurement support.
Stay uptodate with industry trends, technology, and best practices to continuously improve procurement processes

Qualifications:

Education and / or experience:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain management.
Knowledge of the steel industry and relevant regulations and laws.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and procurement related software, such as Ariba.
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
