ABOUT THE JOB


As a Group Financial Controller, you will further organize and professionalize finance within I&L so that our organization is ready for the next step of data driven management.

You will work independently and will support our 8 international branches at operational, tactical and strategic level. You have a lot of freedom to push the organization where necessary. You will report directly to the CFO.


Tasks and responsibilities

  • You define the organization's financial policy and ensure the development of the necessary steering instruments.
  • You independently assess the financial effects of all activities.
  • You develop, renew and optimize administrative and financial processes and internal control.
  • You direct the financial progress of services, activities, projects and you consult with the department managers on a structural basis.
  • You advise on financial consequences of services, activities, projects and make financial analyses and are able to translate these into clear advice.
  • You take care of liquidity monitoring, the annual financial report, annual accounts and periodic reports.
  • You are responsible for a solid and correct timely submittion of fiscal returns.
  • You are the first point of contact for our external accountants from several operating companies.
  • You supervise the financial administrative officer and/or department operationally.

THIS IS YOU

  • You have at least a master working and thinking level for example, business economics, control and/or accountancy.
  • You have at least 3 years work experience in a comparable position in an international and commercial organization.
  • You have knowledge and experience in the preparation of annual financial statements and tax reports in accordance with local accounting standards under HGB and IFRS.
  • You have good knowledge of the entire MS Office package and mastery of Excel in all areas.
  • You have good communication skills, ability to clearly articulate finance topics in plain language and concrete advice.
  • You have a good command of the English language and you speak fluent German or Dutch in addition.
  • You have excellent IT skills with the ability to review and improve systems and procedures
  • You are experienced with coaching and motivating team members to reach KPI's.
  • You have a "handsonmentality", you take initiative and are not afraid to support with operational tasks if needed.
  • You want to work on a fulltime basis.
