Compliance Specialist with pronounced Project Management skills (f/m/d).


In this role, you will leverage your extensive project management expertise within an international context, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with forthcoming deforestation regulations in the EU, UK, US, and other regions.

Your primary responsibility will be to establish a comprehensive group-wide due diligence system.


Responsibilities:


  • Solutiondriven: Implement and further refine the roadmap for compliance with the upcoming regulations related to deforestation.
  • Engaging: Lead communication between internal stakeholders (board, management, trade, supply chain management, sustainability teams of importing and exporting companies worldwide) and support external communication activities.
  • Futurefocused: Lead the implementation of internal NKG due diligence systems for deforestation compliance, including selection and contract negotiation with third parties, accounting for existing structures and requirements of relevant regulations.
  • Customerfocused: Serve as first entry point within NKG for any requests related to deforestation.
  • Collaborative: Coordinate our team of experts from different departments (compliance, sustainable business unit, legal, supply chain management, procurement) and group companies worldwide.
  • Entrepreneurial: Drive the operationalization of the DD system, including IT systems for information sharing, supplier management, shipping procedures, and contractual implications.
  • Strategic: Synthesize new regulations on deforestation and identify implications for NKG business.

Profile:


  • Education: University degree in business administration, supply chain management, sustainability, (tropical) forestry, or agronomy.
  • Background: Relevant work experience, preferably in global supply chain management and supplier management. You should have proven experience in project management, preferably in an agile environment.
  • Supply chain sharpness: Your entrepreneurial mindset and experience in supply chains of coffee or other commodities are a plus.
  • Personality: Analytical and pragmatical working style, strong communication skills, solutiondriven mindset, service mentality and openness to work in a multicultural environment. Additionally you enjoy working on complex issues.
  • Internationality: You demonstrate strong intercultural skills and an excellent command of English; Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus.
  • MS Office: You have a good command of the MS Office package, especially Excel.
