THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AWAITING YOU:

  • You provide legal counsel to the managing directors of Merz Aesthetics within Global Aesthetics functions, including Global Marketing, Global Regulatory and R&D, Global Medical Affairs and Global IP on operational legal matters.
  • You collaborate with the Global IP Team on preparation of license and coexistence agreements as well as on IP matters in business arrangements.
  • You review and negotiate thirdparty commercial agreements and transactions, which may include agreements for clinical trials and manufacturing.
  • You provide advice at management level on corporate law issues and formalities, prepare corporate law documents, and advise on corporate structure issues and corporate contracts as needed.
  • You counsel Global Medical Affairs on scientific exchange including meetings, product information requests and publications.
  • You work with Global Marketing teams to implement and mitigate risk in the design of global drug and device marketing campaigns, including social media.
  • You guide the Aesthetics Global Communications team on specific communications and tactics, including social media in support of key initiatives of Global Medical Affairs and Global Marketing.
  • You counsel on overall legal risk mitigation in collaboration with Global and Regional Compliance and General Counsel for Corporate Office as well as advise and counsel the business on export control matters for Merz Aesthetics product distribution and clinical trials.
  • You engage with the Global Legal team to identify opportunities to continuously improve the effectiveness of the global legal function in various aspects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Global Legal Officer.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Attorney at Law in Germany
  • Experience in a company setting
  • Background in pharmaceutical products or medical devices
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of German corporate law
  • Experience in negotiating and drafting business agreements
